Former Good Game crew Stephanie ‘Hex’ Bendixsen, Nich ‘Nichboy’ Richardson, Gus ‘Goose’ Ronald and Peter ‘Pierreth’ Burns started Back Pocket in July of 2020. It's a loose-format video game variety show driven by its personalities - and funded through Patreon. With a loyal community that has followed the team from Good Game to screenPLAY and beyond - the Back Pocket crew regularly streams to an average of 700-1000 concurrent viewers on Twitch each week during its flagship variety show on Thursday nights.
With over 10 years of experience working in broadcast television, video game content creation and livestreaming under their belts - this venture is entirely owned and run by Nich, Pete and Gus' production company Lowkii Studios. The show is streamed live on Twitch - then added to the Back Pocket YouTube channel. In addition to the flagship show Back Pocket Tonight, there's a weekly gaming news show (The Back Up) and a pop-culture TV discussion show (Pocket Watch) which are both livestreamed and podcasted. With Back Pocket Game Club, viewers have the opportunity to play a monthly game alongside the Back Pocket hosts livestreaming on Twitch - culminating in a book club-style in-depth discussion stream at the end of the month with the community.
Back Pocket is unique in that it has the polish and production of a broadcast television show (owing to the extensive TV background of its team) with a keen understanding of what online gaming audiences enjoy today.
